About This Project
The Wellington Environmental Preserve at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Everglades Habitat (Section 24) is a 365-acre stormwater preserve designed to filter and convey stormwater and while also providing a learning experience for visitors. Native vegetation and pump stations are utilized on the preserve to clean freshwater before it enters the Everglades.
