About This Project

The Government Street Regional Stormwater Pond at Corinne Jones Park is located in downtown Pensacola. This stormwater pond is designed to treat stormwater runoff from 40 acres of downtown Pensacola that would otherwise run into Pensacola Bay. This project provides multiple benefits to the community including improving water quality, eliminating local flooding, and providing a coastal wetland habitat for local wildlife. The addition of the stormwater pond has provided additional aesthetic and recreational opportunities at Corinne Jones Park.
